The Film's Journey

The year 2020 began with many high expectations, a calendar filled with plans and an experimental film in development, little did we know at the time that a global pandemic would shift everything.

The Film was originally going to be shot in a public park which required permits, generators, portable toilets and a full security team, all of which were booked and on stand-by for production. Following an address made by the President in March declaring a national state of disaster, our plans were put on hold indefinitely.

The writers were given the opportunity to adapt the screenplay to suit the Covid-19 regulations around social distancing as well as planning for the possibility that the government's level of lockdown at the time of production could change. A brave and bold decision was made to keep the integrity of the narrative and to rather up the technical level of filming by incorporating green screen work.

This decision needed commitment from every single department to ensure that it could be a success and after months of tight scheduling, remote meetings and many hours spent planning, we achieved what we set out to do!
